From #1 New York Times bestselling author, and creator of the Bridgerton series, Julia Quinn presents the fourth and final installment in the Bridgerton adjacent Regency era-set world featuring the romantic adventures of the well-meaning but less-than-accomplished Smythe-Smith musicians. In this case, cellist Iris Smythe-Smith finds herself courted by a suspiciously eager nobleman—but is he only playing with her heartstrings?

Sir Richard Kenworthy has less than a month to find a bride. He knows he can't be too picky, but when he sees Iris Smythe-Smith hiding behind her cello at her family's infamous musicale, he thinks he might have struck gold. She's the type of girl you don't notice until the second-or third look, but there's something about her, something simmering under the surface, and he knows she's the one.

Iris Smythe-Smith is used to being underestimated. With her pale hair and quiet, sly wit she tends to blend into the background, and she likes it that way. So when Richard Kenworthy demands an introduction, she is suspicious. He flirts, he charms, he gives every impression of a man falling in love, but she can't quite believe it's all true. And when his proposal of marriage turns into a compromising position that forces the issue, she can't help thinking that he's hiding something...even as her heart tells her to say yes.

There's nothing like a hero with a secret to intrigue readers--and there's nothing that annoys a heroine more, especially when she has no idea what it is or how it will affect her until it's too late. But Iris Smythe-Smith is more than up to the challenge, and when she is compromised, quickly wed, and whisked off to Yorkshire by Sir Richard Kenworthy, she soon sorts things out with the help of a most observant young lady. A deceptively fragile-looking heroine and a desperate hero caught on the horns of a true dilemma find love despite their rocky beginnings and a serious deception. VERDICT Witty, sexy, and often quite funny, Quinn's final visit with the Smythe-Smith clan (or is it?) is another fan-pleasing romp that has the added bonus of redeeming a weak and totally unsympathetic hero; a heartwarming story that won't disappoint. Quinn (The Sum of All Kisses) lives in the Pacific Northwest.

Richard Kenworthy has a maximum of four weeks to get married. Given his pressing time line, Richard realizes he can't afford to be particularly demanding when it comes to choosing a wife. Therefore, Richard is pleasantly surprised when he discovers the perfect candidate for the future Mrs. Richard Kenworthy at the annual Smythe-Smith family musicale. The moment Richard meets Iris Smythe-Smith, he knows that not only has he found a suitable spouse, he may also have found his one true love. Iris knows she isn't exactly the sort of lady who inspires men to fall in love at first sight. So when Richard begins flirting with her, she is both flattered and more than a bit surprised. The speed of Richard's courtship and the manner in which he gets Iris to agree to marry him definitely give her second thoughts. In the end, however, the fate of their marriage ultimately rests on which Iris trusts more: her head or her heart. RITA Awardwinning Quinn wraps up her Smythe-Smith quartet (after The Sum of All Kisses, 2013) in splendid fashion as she once again successfully marries sparkling wit with seductive passion to create another swoon-worthy love story.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2015, American Library Association.)
